“It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside.”
- Maud Hart Lovelace
Due
to our busy summer (which you can read about HERE), we've struggled to keep up with our nature journal spreads over the last few months. Our paintbrushes
have been at work though, capturing the beauty around us, and we thought
it a shame not to share it with you all. So, we will be paring together some of
the months we missed, that way it won't be so overwhelming.

"The Sun — just touched the Morning —
The Morning — Happy thing —
Supposed that He had come to dwell —
And Life would all be Spring!"
~ Emily Dickinson

I think out of June's spread, my favorite part is that bright row of carrots! Bridget and I picked up some new watercolors, and had so much fun playing around with Grumbacher paints in the shades "Olive Green" and "Thalo Yellow Green".

The garden antics of our outdoor cat, Kayleigh, always make for an amusing study.
And May's yellow roses seemed to capture a hint of Sunshine's powdered gold.💛

"A something in a summer's Day
As slow her flambeaux burn away
Which solemnizes me."~ Emily Dickinson
And that's it for our May and June nature journal spreads!
